   I want to add an Amazon Carousel widget to a sidebar in one of my post pages, but WP will only allow me to add widgets to sidebars on my site's homepage. Is there a way to do this?

   some themes - for instance the default Twenty Eleven - do not have sidebars/widgets in single posts or pages;

   in the case of Twenty Eleven, try to use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twenty-eleven-theme-extensions/

   or post a link to your site for more suggestions.
