[closed] DON'T BUMP! - but zero replies after a week (5 posts)

    Hi everybody
I posted a couple of questions about some changes I need to make to my website appearance.
After more than a week I haven't got a single reply but if I post myself a reply like "Any suggestion at all" or "Please help me" the moderator delete my reply and warns me to not bump.
So I am left without any help and with the moderator telling me that I need to leave it like that because "..volunteers who try to answer questions look for those without replies first..."
Then I suppose my post has got invisible .....So what am I supposed to do?
I do understand it's all about volunteering but how can I get a little more help?

  2. I just left a reply.

Here's the thing: you are mixing two separate topics into one topic. The first part is a theme question but it's a complex looking one at that.

You've tagged the topic with the right Theme name (good job that) but you're not getting theme specific replies because no one has an answer. Bumping doesn't change that: the answer I left just now was non-specific and may not really help you.

We generally don't leave "I've no idea, how DO you do that?" as that's not really helpful. ;)

The other part is a plugin question. Just like the theme tagging, you may get forum support from the plugin author if you create a new topic and tag it with that plugin. Which you may have done already, I hope you find a solution.

After more than a week I haven't got a single reply

most of your 5 topic from the last 7 days have got replies - although you don't seem to be happy with the answers as you haven't marked any as resolved.
one topic was a near duplicate.
only once you got reminded 'not to bump'.

that is a pretty positive statistic for a support forum.

most of your 5 topic from the last 7 days have got replies

The way topics are listed is very weard; there are 2 of my topics
    This
    and this
that are shown as started "A week ago" that I started about 15 day ago.
One of the two hasn't got any reply yet and I didn't post any "bump" to gey answers.
This one has started 4 months ago
I had two replies between all of my topics just an hour before you posted your observation.
What I mean is that I don't feel impatient nor dissatisfied; however I think it's pretty normal that if you don't get replies for a whole week you obviously feel a bit frustrated.

Thanks for your extensive reply. In fact I did look for answers by posting into the plugin forum section but I had reply from plugin staff to look into the theme section instead....
