[resolved] Domain redirecting even after uninstalling WP (6 posts)

I use Dreamhost for hosting and Dotster for the domain registration and both aren't doing the redirecting so I'm guessing it has something to do with the WP redirect. I can't change it because I uninstalled WP already.

    The url: http://www.thedirective.com

    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. I'm sorry, but if WordPress is not installed, then it's not a WordPress issue.
You mention the url is http://www.thedirective.com

Is this the url it's being directed to?

http://www.thedirective.com Is the page that is being redirected. It is redirecting to: http://www.thedirective.com/dailyfeedback/index.php

I understand that if WP isn't installed then it shouldn't (or can't) be a WP problem but I read about another instance where the same thing happened on wordpress.com.

I'm at a loss at this point, I've removed all the files from the site and it's still redirecting. I was just hoping that someone here had an idea what might be causing it.

  4. I just went to http://www.thedirective.com and there's no redirection at all, so not sure what's going on.
You might want to clear your cache and run a scan of your computer.

    I also see no redirection.

Christine is right, though. The site isn't using WordPress, so there's little the WP Gurus can do for you. If you want to open a support ticket, or post in https://discussion.dreamhost.com, we can take a look at it :)

Yeah. It's working now. I did upload some new files to the server yesterday, I wonder if they over-wrote whatever was redirecting (maybe the htaccess file).

Thanks so much for taking a look.
