Domain Purchase and want to transfer it on WP

    I wants to know that a person my friend purchased a domain like http://www.doitprinting.com from name.com and now he wants to transfer this domain on WordPress hosting. Tell me how can I transfer my domain on WP and it is free or I have to pay for this.

    I’m unclear if you are referring to a WordPress site on wordpress.com, or buying web hosting yourself and installing WordPress on that hosting. Either way, you can assign a domain name to it.

    Either way, transferring a domain requires that you purchase at least one additional year of domain name registration, which costs money, typically $10/year. WordPress.com provides domain name hosting. So do some web hosting companies.

    I’m not sure if it is universal, but there are time limits on how soon you can transfer a domain name after first registering it, or previously transferring it.
