Domain Name Change Troubles (2 posts)

We have a multi-site installation with multiple subdomain subsites:

    http://realsimplevideo.com (the base site)
    http://lilly.realsimplevideo.com
    http://simon.realsimplevideo.com
    etc...

We've recently began the process of transferring this installation
    over to http://candidio.com

I have copied all of the files(all edited to reflect the domain
change) to the candidio.com web root.
Next I imported the database file which also had been edited to
    reflect the domain name changes.
I added the wild card subdomain record to the DNS setting in Plesk
I edited my vhosts.conf file to enable the wild card sub domain as well.

At first everything worked perfectly. You could go to each of the updated sites:

    http://candidio.com (the base site)
    http://lilly.candidio.com
    http://simon.candidio.com
    etc...

But once I cut all of the file from the realsimplevideo.com web root
and pasted them into a folder called "old", the network's base site
(http://candidio.com) will work but none of the subsites
    (http://lilly.candidio.com, http://simon.candidio.com) do. The
subsites point to a "Apache Test Page". Which I'm assuming is the
result of there not being an index file in the realsimplevideo.com web
    root.

If anyone has seen this issue before or has an idea of how it might be resolved, I'd be very grateful to hear your feedback. I've been banging my head against the wall for almost two days now.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Then don't do that.

First, you'll have to wait until dns changes catch up. also, you'll still have visitors hitting the old site and you really want to redirect them cleanly to the new site.

And finally, without being able to look directly at how the server is set up, it;s really hard to tell. wait a month, then ask your webhost to help.
