• Hi,

My domain changed from http://www.domain.org to http://www.domain.us. The webshosting guys did some thing and my http requests were not getting through, so I asked them to change it back to http://www.domain.org.

Nothing works now. Cannot see the blog, cannot access the WP logon/admin. I just get a “500 Internal Server” screen.

I have since backed up the mysql databases and backed up the contents of my public_html folder.

    PLEASE HELP!

    Hi,

Thanks for the response. Tried the above link earlier, does not seem to help.
    1. Is there a way to check if the my_sql databases are in good shape.
    2. I can see my images in a separate directory. Where in the directory path can I see the text of my posts?

Thx in advance for your help

    1. Use phpMyAdmin or whatever MySql management application your host provides.

    2. Your posts are stored in your database – not in files.

    Thanks esmi!

I see this in my phpMyAdmin:

    •information_schema (17)
    •padmajao
    ◦_myblog
    ◦_wrdp1 (12)
    ◦_wrdp2 (10)
    Please select a database

Underp padmajao_wrdp1, I see the posts in the wp_posts table.

If I install a new WP environment in a different directory, will I be able to move the current MySQL environment to the new WP environment?

You can re-upload the WordPress files to a new sub-folder and simply point them at your existing database.
