Domain mapping database connection issue

    I’ve mapped a site using the domain mapping plug-in and the reroute seems to be working fine. Oddly, however, wordpress is giving me a MySQL DBMS error 1045: Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: YES) error at the mapping domain. What is strange about this is that the wordpress build connects to the database fine AND my config file doesn’t use the user “root”. Can anyone shed any light on what might be going on here?
