Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I hvae already followed everything in detail in that tutorial and also on all the different tutorials available on the internet.
The domains are purchased from the same hosting company so there is no issue of IP or A name records. Those domains are already pointing to the server IP.
The issue I am facing is in the Domain Mapping part.
I see these two in tools -> domain mapping in the site’s backend..
http://www.mappeddomain.com/
http://www.rootdomain.com/mappeddomain
The moment I set http://www.mappeddomain.com/ as the primary, I am taken to the root domain page, http://www.rootdomain.com/
Also when I go to http://www.mappeddomain.com, I am taken to http://www.rootdomain.com/
On your web account, you are completely missing the part where you “park” the mapped domain on the wordpress install.
You need to tell your webserver where that domain’s files are located.
park the mapped domain on the wordpress install ?
I have parked the domain under cpanel
ahh its resolved now.
I was using the normal version and not the trunk version :s
Thanks for the help both of you.
Otto wrote his instructions before the latest fix went in to the plugin. Near as I can tell, the trunk version is exactly the same as the latest released version of the plugin. (save revision number on them both).
