  • You should contact your hosting provider, they will be able to give you that information.

I did, and they said directed me to wordpress support, where I cannot seem to find a number to talk to an actual human being.

    Where is your existing website?

Are you talking about a site that is on WordPress.com?

Yes, it was designed on WordPress about 2 years ago, and we have a new guy who is going to be re-vamp it also on WordPress, but he said that he needed “godaddy login for your domain name or other company you may have your domain name through” Which is 1&1, but they said that the login domain would have been through WordPress. So, I’m at a loss as to who I can get that info from…. The original guy who set up our site is no longer reachable.

What I meant is, is the site actually hosted on WordPress.com, but since you mention 1&1, I assume it’s hosted there.

The good people at 1&1 should be able to give you the login details for FTP access (which is what you need if you want to upload files to create a new site on your host).

Do not give the new designer login details for your entire 1&1 account.

THANK YOU!!!! Apparently I was asking the question wrong….That was the right way to ask the question, and they were FINALLY able to give me the information.
