I'm having a nightmare and I hope that someone can help!

Basically, I have wordpress installed on my hosting package on 1and1 with the domain I bought from them - so http://www.example.co.uk/wordpress works sweet...

HOWEVER, I also have another domain I bought from a different company which I want to point to my wordpress directory, I've changed the nameservers and asked that it points to the /wordpress directory - and it does, but once I enter the login details it takes me to a blank page.

I've noticed that when I go to the login page on my primary URL, the address bar shows http://www.example.co.uk/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=/wordpress/

but when using the secondary URL that I have pointing to the wordpress directory it shows http://www.example.co.uk/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=/

    can anyone PLEASE help!?

You can only use 1 domain name on one WordPress site. If you have a second domain name, all you can do is point it at the site. It cannot be used on that site.

sorry, I meant to say - it isn't returning a blank page, it's taking me to the index page of my main website 'www.example.co.uk'

Can you login OK using the original domain name?

Then that's the url you have to use when you login. The other domain name can only ever point to your WordPress site. As soon as you hit the site, the url will change to the original domain name.
