    Why is this the top result for plugin searches for "Google Analytics"? Because it's called google analytics.

    This plugin seems nice and simple at first, all you have to do is enter your google analytics site ID. Because it is so simple you think it would just work. But it doesn't!

    The code was never properly injected, instead it printed my google analytics ID in the header of wordpress. Deactived/Deleted the plugin and hoped it would undo the damage it did. It doesn't!

    Head to the support forum and found a similar complaint, someone asking where this plugin injects its code (where we can manually go to fix the damage this plugin caused). Developer's response: "in the wp_head" area. I'm not a PHP master, which is why i use wordpress, so telling me it's in the wp_head area is telling me to waste hours of my day Google searching about wp_head and figuring out that wp_head can be declared almost anywhere! Awesome!

    Thanks Kevin, your broken plugin defaced my website and I'll spend all day today trying to undo the damage.

    Hi Kuawa Road,

    Sorry you had difficulties setting up the plugin. Can you tell me what version of word press you run and what theme you are using?

    Hi there, Im also having trouble figuring out where the "wp_head" area is, as Im new to using code. I was using a wordpress.com site before and have just switched over to my wordpress.org blog. I miss having the statistics page.

    I'm using the Simple Catch theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Molly

    Kevin, sorry for the rant!

    WordPress Version: 3.5.1
    Google Analytics: 1.0.5;

    What file should I be looking for the mystery code that prints the google ID into my header? This is the source code of the problem...

    </style></head><body class="home blog logged-in admin-bar front-page customize-support">UA-18297097-1<!-- We need this for debugging -->
    <!-- Responsive 1.9.3.2 -->
    <!-- Responsive Child Theme 1.0.0 -->

    Thanks for your help, this was seriously the LAST plugin I installed after things were back up and running perfectly. I should have quit while I was ahead.

    (the guy who should now eat the words "lacks support")

    Hi Kevin, Thanks for the plugin.

    I've installed it and not been seen by google analytics either. I'm kevinpclarke.com running Organic Theme: 'Structure'

    I waited several hours and nothing showed up with Google.

    I've tried de-installing it, and doing the 'Insert Header and Footer plug-in but that didn't work either.

    I'm lost.

    Thanks.
