    I do have a problem with the Facebook Comments plugin: I did everything as written on the wiki, but I can't see the comments at the end of every article. I can just see the text "comments" at the end of the post and nothing else. I thought was a theme problem so I contacted the theme creator but he said that he tried the plugin and it works great.

    You can see the result at the end of this post in my site http://www.geekupyourlife.org/oreilly-rilascia-gratuitamente-alcuni-libri-sulla-programmazione/

    If you have any suggestion will be great! Thank you so much in advance.

    This is a theme restriction. Please contact your theme developer.

    I am the theme developer. How do you mean the theme is restricting it? I dont see the facebook comment markup anywhere in the html source. the plugin should at-least display that. correct?

    Someone found a way to fix this issue?

    I am having the exact same issue- after the post it only shows

    Comments
    Comment

    AFAIK the App ID is set up correctly and I've tried the two namespace checkboxes. What could be the limitation imposed by my theme? I made it from scratch.

    Thank you, I love your plugins and recommend TwitterFeedPro to my clients all the time!

    Well I wrote the post 1 month ago, and still I have no idea how to solve the problem. There is another addon that I can use with the same features?

    I think we should just wait for an answer... nothing else we can do :-(

    Well just an update: if I visit the article with Safari I can comment with Facebook, doesn't work with Firefox though

    Someone can confirm that?

    Yes, it seems like a problem with Firefox. With Google Chrome it works fine.
    Dear developers, could you please fix that problem? The comment window is not shown when using Firefox.

    Is this is working in some browsers and not others then this will be a browser issue. Please try with the same browser on another machine.

    @Towfiki - 99% of the time this issue is caused by theme development not adding in the necessary hooks such as adding wp_head() and language attributes to the HTML source.

    Alex, thanks for the clarification, but I just checked again, the theme has both wp_head added to the header, where it should be and necessary language attributes.

    Then this will be a browser issue...

    After confiming that I had the wp_head hook and language attributes in place, the plugin still wasnt working for me on any browsers... Then on the 3door's site I noticed this:

    Facebook Javascript SDK:
    In the plugin, this is inserted just before </body>. Technically, it is best to insert this directly after <body>, changing YOUR_APP_ID to your App ID:
    <div id="fb-root"></div>
    <script>(function(d, s, id) {
    var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
    if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;}
    js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
    js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1&appId=YOUR_APP_ID";
    fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
    }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>ent.getElementById('fb-root').appendChild(e);
    }());
    </script>

    The wording originally led me to believe this wasn't necessary for some reason, and there is some sort of typo at the end which farted some javascript text on to the page, but after I tidied that up, the plugin started working! Hope this helps someone...

    Thanks for the cool plugin Alex...

    No problem. Unfortunately there is no WordPress hook for this which is why it has to be done manually sometimes. Once there's the available hook the plugin will be updated to reflect it

    Firefox 22 for OS X NOT WORKING

    Safari 6.05 for OS X WORKING
    Safari 6.05 for iOS WORKING

    FireFox 22 for Windows WORKING
    Internet Exploder 8.0 for Windows WORKING
    Chrome 28 for Windows WORKING
    Opera 15 for Windows WORKING

    Hi Guys, did anyone solve this? On my site, I'm just seeing
    Comments
    Comment
    That's it!. It's not working on any browser. Any help at this point is appreciated :)

    This usually points to a theme conflict where there is a need to code some elements into the theme directly. Have you tried inserting the comments through the official method as instructed above?

    Hi ALex,

    Thanks for the speedy reply :)

    no I have not tried that yet (in work at the mo and don;t have access). I will try it later and get back to you. Did anyone else fins that it resolved their issue??

    I did try the Facebook plugin itself but it replaced my WordPress comments section. I presume the above instructions will do the same?? I was hoping to have both WordPress and Facebook comments functioning.

    I cannot comment on the official Facebook plugin, however, my plugin does no replace WordPress comments but instead show them above WordPress comments.

    I noticed the plugin was working by default and when I edited the plugin settings it stopped. It seems some of the checkboxes weren't changing regardless of trying to replicate the default state.

    DB Before settings edit + update:
    a:19:{s:4:"fbml";s:2:"on";s:9:"opengraph";s:3:"off";s:4:"fbns";s:3:"off";s:5:"html5";s:2:"on";s:5:"posts";s:2:"on";s:5:"pages";s:3:"off";s:8:"homepage";s:3:"off";s:5:"appID";s:0:"";s:4:"mods";s:0:"";s:3:"num";s:1:"5";s:5:"count";s:2:"on";s:8:"countmsg";s:8:"comments";s:5:"title";s:8:"Comments";s:10:"titleclass";s:0:"";s:5:"width";s:3:"450";s:10:"countstyle";s:0:"";s:8:"linklove";s:3:"off";s:6:"scheme";s:5:"light";s:8:"language";s:5:"en_US";}

    DB After:
    a:14:{s:5:"appID";s:0:"";s:4:"mods";s:0:"";s:4:"fbml";s:2:"on";s:4:"fbns";s:2:"on";s:5:"html5";s:2:"on";s:5:"posts";s:2:"on";s:6:"scheme";s:5:"light";s:3:"num";s:1:"5";s:5:"width";s:3:"600";s:5:"title";s:8:"Comments";s:10:"titleclass";s:0:"";s:5:"count";s:2:"on";s:8:"countmsg";s:8:"comments";s:10:"countstyle";s:0:"";}

    the 19 to 14 elements is clear difference.
    It seems to remove the attr/field instead of setting its state to off.
    ATM Im editing via db. (which sucks when serialized!)

    Hi Alex,

    am using your plugin on this page:

    signewenneberg.dk

    Have inserted [fbcomments] in the first post, but the comments box is blinking 4-5 times before becoming static :(

    This is only happening in Safari. Firefox is ok and does not flash.

    Am I doing anything wrong?

    regards
    Claus
