• Hi,
I didn’t want to rate, sorry I put one star.
Just to say that I found Stream Video plugin vers 1.3.5 not compatible with Responsive Theme by ThemeID. I was using Responsive child theme as suggested. This combination made page editing input areas unusable; mouse arrow only on input boxes; input boxes not showing the content either. Deactivate Stream Viewer & text input returned to as normal functionality. Rodrigo’s directions (video & screen shot)did not match wordpress interface. Rodrigo’s web site does say “outdated info” on video & screen shot.

I had hoped I’d get video working straight away, but no joy. Sorry Rodrigo, you have obviously given it a fair amount of work.

ThemeID forum search shows they suggest for those looking for an alternative.

This plug-in is old, it wasn’t designed to be responsive, in fact no one was talking about HTML5 video when this plug-in was developed.

The main idea of the Stream Video Player is to scrub to any time on a video without waiting to load the entire thing, the second goal was to make it easy to use, and the third goal is to use only free/libre software, check this guide: http://youtu.be/NShb8pR_dIc

have a flash embed movie to be responsive is not an easy task, I don’t have the time to develop that functionality, but you can download the code and modify anything you need to achieve the responsive functionality, here is a link with some hints: http://www.webmonkey.com/2011/12/how-to-scale-embedded-media-in-responsive-designs/

then, when you are done with that extra functionality you can give your fixes back to me and the plug-in so everyone have the responsive functionality, remember that the idea of open/free software is sharing and helping each other.

again, I don’t have the time to add this particular functionality, but if you want to pay for it, I’ll be more than happy to code it.

FYI today was submitted version 1.3.8 which is 100% responsive and retina ready, not because this post, because some client payed for it 😀 so everyone can enjoy it!
