doesn't look right after moving to another directory (8 posts)

To solve a url problem I was having, my host provider suggested I move "the files" to the appropriate directory. I copied everything I could find, including dot files. When I enter the url, the text shows up, but no theme formatting. It's at farmfamilyrecipes.com if you want to take a look at it.

    What am I doing wrong?

(Sorry about that blank post. I haven't figured out how to delete my bad posts yet, so I marked it resolved.)

    well...all the links point here
    http://articlesbyreg.com/
    including home, about, etc.

are both of the url's correct?

articlesbyreg.com is my main url. The WP files and folders I'm writing about are in public_html/farmfamilyrecipes.com. ...
Hmm. Those links in the blog to articles etc are appropriate for where the blog was before. I'm gonna guess that that is a separate problem. Maybe I'll need to change the links manually after I get the theme to show up? Do I need to do something like reinstall the theme? Naturally I prefer not to lose all my posts and stuff...

Have you checked your CSS file is present ?
Can you check by changing the theme of your blog to default theme and see if it is working ?

Reinstalling/changing/manipultaing a theme will not make you lose your post.

CSS is there. I have no redirects on my account. farmfamilyrecipes is both an add-on and a sub-domain.
I moved all the files in ffr to a temp folder, then reinstalled WP. Naturally I got the default blog, none of my old stuff. I moved the files, one folder at a time, back to the ffr, and when I moved the files in the root, I was back to square one: the posts, but no theme, and no link to the admin area.
I tried manually entering the url to the admin area, namely:
    http://farmfamilyrecipes.com/wp-admin
and I got a 404. The url changed to this:
    http://articlesbyreg.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Ffarmfamilyrecipes.com%2Fwp-admin%2F

    What else might I try?

Also--I can't find the posts in the file manager. I do a search on the word Japanese, for example, and nothing turns up. I presume that's because WP stores the posts somewhere that I can't get to. Correct?

yes, the links did not change when I moved the WP files where I want them, and I can't find the blog text to change the links, and what should I change the links to?

Maybe I should give up, put the files back where they were, create a whole new blog in the correct location, and manually copy everything from the old one to the new one. Seems inelegant, though.

I just moved all the files back to where they were,in my public_html directory. I'm back to square one: If i type in the url farmfamilyrecipes.com, the blog appears correctly, and the url in the address bar is articlesbyreg.com.

I tried to install WP in the farmfamilyrecipes.com folder, but fantastico wouldn't do it, saying it won't install two copies of WP in the same place. But the FFR directory is empty.

There has to be something about the directory structure that I don't get. I want to type farmfamilyrecipes in and get the blog, but I want the address bar to show the ffr url, too. I want to be able to go to articlesbyreg.com separately.

    Got any ideas?
