Multisite Language Switcher
[resolved] doesn't link articles after domain-changing (13 posts)

    Hi!

At first: thanks for this great plugin! :)

    Now the problem:
I built a multisite on localhost with MLS, everything works like a charm, I'm happy with it.

I uploaded the whole thing to a live server and now if I want to link two articles together with MLS, it doesn't save at all. Old ones are working, no new plugin, only the domain has been changed.
It seems to me that everything else (I mean the wordpress itself) is working but I guess MLS maybe also stored somewhere the magic "localhost" word in the database (?).

No, the Multisite Language Switcher stores just serialized arrays in the options-tables which contain references to the other blogs and the connected ids (like the post_id) as keys/value pairs.

Please check the field guid in the post-tables (like wp_posts).

Please double-check first your installation. Could you then describe what's going on when you try to save events?

i can create events without any problem, but if i choose any other event in mls' box and click on update or publish, the choosed value in mls' box will be empty.

just for "fun", i changed the path of the localhost version of the site, everything is working.

i guess later i'll try to reimport the database or redo the whole moving process.

I would check where the event post type gets stored. Maybe there is a guid saved which points to localhost.

i'm giving up for a while, posts' association is working and that's the most important. next week i'll have time to do a fresh install on the server.

on localhost i can change the path, i can move back from the live server, i can do anything, everything works - on the server at events i can't save any changes with mls.

anyhow, i guess there are some incompatibility issues between mls and aioec. ie: http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc419/kissja74/smiley/eventcat_zpse8c8024c.png

okay, i did a fresh new install on the server with the same result: at events mls' choosed value cannot be saved (without any error message).

(i mark this topic as "resolved" because the problem is not the changed domain but some incompatibility issue with aioec)
