does wordpress now search all custom posts types by default

Hi

could someone just answer a quick question. Does the wordpress search function now search all custom post types by default.

It’s a silly question but I do remember having to hack a file at one time to get wordpress search to returnv all the custom post types but I can not find the hack I did but as I’m getting all the different post types back in the results then I’m assuming it’s now default.

If not I’m going to have to hunt around more for the hacked file 🙁
