Looking to hide the wp-login within the URL does this plugin accomplish this? If so, it should be stated in the product description.

Suggestion, the login option should be checked by default.

Thank you for this great plugin.

    Hi Itzoovim,

The path, /wp-login is a dead giveaway that the site is WP constructed. My question is if WP Login Box had the option to redirects away from including the /wp-login within the URL. I see now that it does not.

    Here is another suggestion:

Allow the plugin user to direct:

    - Registration
    - Lost Password

to a custom page or to a page of their own choosing. Example, the user of the plugin may want to use the "Registration" or "Lost Password" from another script. Unfortunately "WP Login Box" does not have its own "Lost Password" script, so allowing the user to set the path from another plugin which page contains the shortcode would be quite useful.

    Kind regards,

    Ron

    Hi there,
when a user enters a wrong username or password, how can I control that NOT the standard WordPress access Menu is opened but instead nothing happens (reload of the same URL) or an error message is displayed within the given layout?

    Thank you and kind regards
    Ralph

Using the if, then statement. If not true, send user to an error page. Again, there are plugins which solve these issues and give you the option to redirect to a custom page. What I like about WP Login Box is the php conditional statements where you provide: if logged in show X.

    Cons:

WP Login Box utilizes WordPress standard URLs which exposes the "wp-login" and relies upon the "anyone can register." This plugin will not allow you to redirect to custom pages or pages that other plugins utilize for:
    A - Logging in
    B - Registration
    C - Logging out

For example, WP-Member can not co-exist with WP Login Box nor can ThemeMyLogin.

sorry; i do not understand. So is it possible to use a if then - statement and make nothing happen when password is wrong - or not? Where can I put this statement? Thank you.

    @RonDsy and @jazzymood
Thank you very much for pointing this out. In the next update I will add the ability to use the default wordpress pages, or custom ones. To help me get this done quicker, can you please list the plugins that you use to create the custom pages. I want to run a few tests before I launch the new version.

    Hi itzoovim,

no plugin in use: just a redirect URL is needed when user enters a wrong password or unsername. Current version goes to standard wordpress login in this case, which is not very nice. Thank you!

Yes, no plugin info needed, just give the ability to redirect to any page. This would be most helpful.

The reason I am asking for other plugins that do it is because I wanted to see how they accomplish the task. It could be a MySQL condition, or something else that is a lot quicker. The MySQL condition is simple but it may already be implemented somewhere which would make the plugin more efficient.

    - WP-Members
    - Mingle
    - Paid Membership Pro

These plugins allow the admin to assign pages using a shortcode or by selecting a page for:

    Members Profile
    Registration
    Login

This should help with creating the option to allow the admin to select what page or custom page will be used for the above functions.

Sorry about the huge delay everyone, but I was unable to support this plugin in the last month because I was too buisy with school. I should have time to fix it in the next few days.
