does the visual rich editor override image settings?

Hi,

In the style.css file in the Kubrick theme, image margins are specified so that if an image is floated left or right, etc, there is some appropriate amount of space between the picture and the text in the post.

But when I use the visual rich editor to insert a picture, the text is right up against the image. (And I don’t like the “horizontal” button in the VRE because it puts space on both sides of the image, not on just the side next to the text.)

Does the VRE override the image style set in the theme? All I want is to have everything preset to my preferences so that I can post things quickly.
