Do WordPress shortcodes work in LightWord?
I am mainly trying to get the Twitter Embed shortcode to work. I have disabled all my plugins, which I have read can cause problems, but this has had no effect.
I have also tested a number of other shortcodes from http://en.support.wordpress.com/topic/shortcodes/ and haven't found one yet that does. I can only think that LightWord does not support them?
A definitive answer on this would be very much appreciated.
you are quoting WordPress.com shortcodes which will likely not be implemented in WordPress.org (which only has the default shortcodes [gallery] and [caption] ).

I only came across shortcodes when googling for WP Twitter Embeds and getting this wordpress.com page (http://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter/twitter-embeds/) rather than the appropriate wordpress.org page: http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds
However, I'm finding the whole WP Twitter Embed function very erratic itself anyway—just displaying the URL a lot of the time. So, I've decided to just the HTML code Twitter itself provides instead: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-tweets
