    Hello there :-)

Forgive me if its not the right forum to ask but I think is the closer to this issue.

I have to migrate my mambo site, plenty of articles (over 10.0000)and its really very important keep the original published data, so ppl can know if it is a new or old discussion.

So, I will be able to have all my articles with their original published date?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Beth

Yes you can using export/import options in wordpress. If you are using WP platform on the current site OR used a CMS software like Drupal, you should be able to migrate with no issues. I migrated several websites including my own site with all the dates.

But for the link URLs, if you have custom URL system, it may or may not migrate to the new WP install. For example, if you had index.php?p=55 as a page URL, it won't be the same on WP. But if you had, this_is_a_url/ it will be migrated to the WP install as it is. (You know what I mean)

    All the best!

The WP-posts table includes the post_date column where you can indicate the original publication date of your migrated articles
