Specifically, I am wondering what happens when an event is over, or "expired." I guess it will stay on the page until the cache is cleared? Any other implications?

I haven't tested Super Cache but yes, this would happen so you'd have to have it refresh the page daily.

or every half hour in the case of my events!

Okay... so I see that events don't leave the page immediately after they expire; it appears they wait until midnight to exit, no matter what time they ended earlier that day. Is that correct? I thought my list of 100 half-hour events would shrink throughout the day, but that has not been the case. (I am not caching them.)

Well, no. This is on the Events list page -- all days. But I think it should work like that here too.

yes, that's what I mean, on public event lists they don't take time into account when looking for future events.
