Do we need to purchase the additional Single Page Checkout for it to work?

    Hi,

    no, Single Page Checkout is add-on which extends functionality.

    And recurring payments work by default provided by Authorize.net ARB, PayPal Subscriptions, Stripe Subscriptions and Google Wallet Subscriptions.

    Basic API is implemented via XML-RPC and is documented in plugin’s Help area.
