• Good in some ways, terrible in stats and support. Here’s my interaction with “Support” regarding setting statistics so “administrators” (me!) won’t be counted in my website visits/clicks.

Me – “Forgive me if I missed it, but it is hard to believe there is not an option to exclude my own visits (or admin visits, at least) from my site’s stats in Jetpack. Please either show me how to do so or add the function. Others have discussed this with you and requested it for years now.”

    “Support” –

“Logged in users are excluded from Jetpack Stats by default, and you can change your stats settings by clicking on “Configure” under the Stats module in the Jetpack menu.

Please get in touch again if you need any help.”

    Me –

“With all due respect, you didn’t read my email correctly. I do not want to exclude logged in users. I want to exclude my visits. Only my visits. Hard to believe Jetpack can’t do this yet. Please rectify that while I look for a plug in that will do it.”

I’m afraid we do not offer the option to exclude specific user roles yet. Once you allow registered users to be tracked, all roles (subscribers, authors, editors, and admins) will be recorded.

If you want to track all logged in visitors, but exclude the admins, you can install this small plugin I just created:
    http://i.wpne.ws/OE14

Download the plugin to your computer, and install it on your site via Plugins > Add New > Upload.

    I hope this helps.

We have now included options to enable Stats for specific roles. You can read more about it here:
