    Hi

so, I have a bluehost account and have one website set up on it.

I want to start to work on a separate website that will have its own domain name etc.

I assume... that if I have a separate domain then I have to pay to bluehost again for both hosting and the domain name? Or do I just have to pay for the domain name, but they'll just host the files as they already host my other website.

Also I am very slow at building websites, so do not want to start to pay for hosting or the domain name yet. But I can't see how to start building a second site on wordpress. Do I have to pay bluehost to start hosting it before I can start to build it...?

I did think about building it on wordpress.com, but there I couldn't see how to install the udesign theme that I have bought and want to use.

Well... if you can make any sense of that and offer me any advice I'd be grateful!

    Victoria

With bluehost you can host unlimited domains on one account. I personally have over 25 domains on my one account. You can also install wordpress into a subfolder on your site. Like install it to domain.com/newsite. That way you can make it there. Then when you are ready you can purchase the domain, assign it to that folder, and change the wp-url settings. That would be all you need to do :)

    No, just the domain.

No, not with Multisite. If you use Multsite you can create a subsite, and build it out. Then when you have the domain, get a domain mapping plugin and configure it. Map your domain via DNS, and you're done :)
