do not autoresize images

    I’m trying to setup/find a theme for an artist that does NOT resize the images. Everything I’ve found crops off some of the photo to fit it into a thumbnail. Is there any way to leave it in it’s original dimensions, in full within the thumbnail size?

    does this make sense?

    e.g: the photo is 100×300 px. Instead of giving a 100×100 cropped shot of it for the thumbnail, it gives a 33×100 shot of it within the 100×100 cube…

    How to do?
