  • Both Paid and Free accounts give you RUM (Real User Monitoring). You get one site with Free and Personal accounts. 5 with Pro. And 50 with Team.

Haven’t tried it yet, but I had RUM available before and after I upgraded (today) from Free to Personal (paid).

hmmm, for $39/month I’d rather pay $49 for NewRelic, which is uncomparably superior, in every aspect (since they do uptime/RUM monitoring and much more).

    thanks jon.

I hadn’t heard of NewRelic until now (I don’t get out much). But I’m assuming you need to have RUM on more than one site, as $39/month gives you 5 sites on Pingdom’s RUM, while Free and Personal ($9.99) give you 1 site.

At first glance at NewRelic, my concern would be the One Week retention of performance data. Although I haven’t used RUM, I do know that Pingdom keeps data from its traditional service “forever”.

$49/month gives you unlimited sites on one server. But it’s like comparing a wrench to a toolbox…
