   Please can someone help I am having a complete nightmare!

   Yesterday I was altering my site in WP, something went wrong and it stopped working. I'm not quite sure why but I thought that if i downloaded WordPress again in Fantastico from my cpanel it would fix the bug. Wrong! instead it managed to completely delete my whole site.

   I have since tried to restore a back up from Fantastico. I downloaded the back up file to my computer then uploaded that via FTP to the file where by site lies in my root directory. Then I uploaded my backup sql file in my SQL database. I thought that this would work but it hasnt.

   Now when I try and log in to my dashboard I receive a DNS server error message. Can anyone help at all?

   Have you tried asking your hosting provider?

   you should point the nameservers pointed at your host.

   WordPress doesn't do anything with DNS. If you're having DNS issues it's best like TCBarrett said, contact your host. It sounds as if the two issues are unrelated.
