• I added the goodurbanhood domain name to wp after creating content under the domain greenhomenash (and customizing theme, adding a bunch of images to library, etc.). I followed wordpress instructions to a T and made goodurbanhood my primary blog–I know it may take a bit to see it on the dashboard. I was told by the registrar support tem of these domains to copy all files from the set up greenhomenash blog to the new domain at goodurbanhood, but it looks like my CSS broke in the process. How do I get all the content from the greenhomenash blog to the new domain name without losing the many hours of work I have done?
    Thanks in advance.

    *bump*
    Please help

It looks like you are referring to wordpress.COM sites, judging by the login at goodurbanhood.com

they have support forums at http://en.forums.wordpress.com

You are currently at the forum for wordpress.ORG self-hosted installs

This is self-hosted. I posted there and they sent me here :).

Both goodurbanhood and greenhomenash are hosted by Bluehost. They told me to transfer all files from the greenhomenash.com domain (where I built the blog intially), which I did, then mapped goodurbanhood.com to my wp account (where I first created a .com blog as eastsyde, then decided to upgrade to self-hosted domain greenhomenash.com which was linked to my wordpress.com account).
Does this even sound right? It’s like the goodurbanhood.com site got lost in mapping space…? Now I cannot find any of the content from blog I set up at the greenhomenash.com site…it’s seemingly disappeared from wordpress but files are still visible on Bluehost

So you transferred over file, and lost your content?

Did you ever move the content? It’s not in the files, it’s in the database. You would have had to do an export/import or a mysql transfer wih some edite

I’m trying to follow along, lol…kinda confusing.

Also, how long ago did you do the DNS thing, that can take up to 24hrs to propagate through the webs

It sounds like the files and/or the database were not moved properly.
Try it again from the top and review the following Moving Guide.
