    Hi,

    The other day I installed a couple of new plugins like google analytics.
    Then I realized that the complete DMS guestbook went missing, I mean frontend and backend, it is still installed but it does not show up in the backend, the DMS widget ist still there but when I look at it the entry of the guestbook is missing. I deactivated and activated the plugin, but no change, it is still gone, the datebase and all entries are still there .... so I tried to access the admin page by putting in the URL by hand, then I got told that I do not have the rights to view this page, any idea on wehat I can do ?

    best regards from La Palma

    Joe

    Hi Joe

    I got told that I do not have the rights to view this page

    It could be a problem with the user roles.
    The role can be disable. Open the file “admin.php” in “dmsguestbook” folder and search to this entry: define('ROLE', "1");. Replace this with this one: define('ROLE', "0");

    I suggest you to uninstall all plugins which you've installed. After that you can activate every plugin step by step, that could help to find out what happened.

    Greetings,
    Dani

    Hi Vivien

    If you see post in your DMSGuestbook widget on sidebar there isn't a problem with dmsguestbook database. Did you check whether a WordPress page is binded on DMSGuestbook? Check this in your WordPress panel by clicking on "DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> Basic -> To assign guestbook(s)"

    Greetings,
    Dani
