• Whenever I try to style part of a part with a div class, like for example put an ordered list inside a div, wordpress messes it up because it automatically changes the div to a p. How can I avoid this?

WordPress also messes up some other code like spaces and videos. What can I do? Thanks.

  • where are you making these changes? Are you using the visual editor?

I change it in the code tab, and when I save it, it is fine. However, if I ever go back to the post, wordpress changes it, so if I save again, it is not how I wanted it.

I change it in the code tab,
When you switch between visual/code – the wysiwyg animal is ALWAYS turned ON… so it screws up your code.
The wysiwyg thing is NOT for inserting/typing code. It is for posting.

You want your own code? Turn OFF the wysiwyg. Problem solved.

Yeah, unfortunately the posts are also edited by someone who needs to use the wysiwyg editor. I guess there’s no other way.

I also changed it to the code tab, and after I saved it, it showed fine. However, if I go back to the post again, wordpress changes it, thus I have to save it again, it is not how I expected.
