"We were unable to load Disqus. For more information please see our documentation on identifier and urls."
I updated to WordPress 3.13 and then updated Disqus from within the wordpress admin panel. Disqus failed to load on the frontend. So after reading the Disqus plugin page I renamed the folder from 'disqus-comment-system' to 'disqus'. This didn't work so then I removed the directory, downloaded again and re-activated. However the name of the new folder downloaded was 'disqus-comment-system'. Confusing!?
I will revert back to the previous version for now
Steve
I've noticed that it loads fine on a Post that already had a thread but on Posts with no comments on WP 3.13 I get the "We were unable to load..." message. Did it break under 3.13?
Okay, it just won't load on newly created pages. I'm at a total loss here. About ready to ditch Disqus. Even with a brand new post with commenting enabled and using the unaltered Twenty Ten theme... Disqus won't load. But it DOES load on old posts on my site?! Bizarre.

Hi, know it's been awhile since last response, but did anyone ever figure out what was causing this? I too am experiencing this on a new blog.
@acaffiero It's hard to say exactly what's wrong without looking at the site, but we've documented the most common reasons for seeing that message here: http://docs.disqus.com/help/10/
Let us know if that helps!

thanks, I added the disqus_developer variable to the blog head, and that seemed to fix things. We do have the direcotry of this blog password protected for now.
