  • I’m having the exact same issue, anyone know how to fix this, I also imported my comments

Did you resolve this? I have the same issue. Contacted Disqus support via email and twitter, no response.

    Hi,

I realize this is pretty old, but I’ve recently done a bit of research on this as well. Disqus doesn’t seem to support it.

The apostrophe HTML mark-up you’ve written is not an apostrophe. It’s a prime. In typography, primes are either ‘ or ” and are used to denote feet or inches, respectively. Unfortunately, those are the keys manufacturers chose to include on keyboards rather than real apostrophes or quotations.

On Apple computers, you can use real quotes using either the keyboard preferences or using these keyboard shortcuts: http://support.iawriter.com/help/kb/mac-questions/how-can-i-get-curly-quotes-on-the-mac
