Hi I've been racking my brain for hours trying to figure out how to simply display the bbpress forum in my wordpress site like a page or post.
    Wordpress
    http://www.longislandmartialarts.org/blog/
    Forum

    http://www.longislandmartialarts.org/forum/

I tried an iframe but it did not fit right. I don't understand why there is not simply a button to create a forum or a widget to simply display it.
    It's driving me nuts.

Thanks, Do you recommend that over bbpress?

I'd like for the two to be fully interegrated i.e one password etc.

    Does simple-press do that?

This is ridiculous, I specifically joined bluehost to get wordpress going with buddy press and the forum all in one integrated site. I did this because wordpress.org recommended bluehost for its ease of use with wordpress and this is te most frustrating crap I've had to deal with.

Why is it so difficult to get buddypress, and the forum up and running?
I am using basic settings nothing fancy. And simple forum was a total waste, as soon as I installed that errors galore. Why would I get errors with a simple basic setup?

    This is stupid.

I'd have to say user error then - I've easily set those forums up for clients

I understand that and I was very careful when I put in the settings, but there is no simple step 1, step 2, process. You have to bounce back and forth between wordpress and bbpress, get a plug in to integrate them etc, etc, etc. Then your told to find the _Salt settings and there are none in my version of wordpress 2.9.2

The whole process is not easy and frustrating. You hit a wall and then wait for someone or divine inspiration to help you.

I decided to do a clean install and use a generic theme and work all the way through it that way then trouble shoot by adding my theme in step by step.

    Aggg.
