Displaying rows of images with accompaning text (3 posts)

    I am trying to set up a list of images, spread out acroos the page, with disctiptive text for each image. I have coded some CSS. Displaying the images with the text is working but the height and width I have specified for block is being ignored, or overridden, so I get display blocks of different sizes based on the length of the text. This messes up the formatting big time. Outside of WordPress the code works perfectly so I am assuming there is something inside WordPress that is messing this up.

    The problem is with the DOCTYPE. If I chnage it to <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> it will sove the image formatting issue - however the remained of the site format is them messed up.
