   So I've been farting around with tags attached to my posts and I'm modifying my layout so that it displays all that information on the side. However php the_tags only works when it's inside the loop.

   I did some searching and this forum topic had some code that worked for me, at least sort of.

   It displays the tags in the sidebar, but they're not clickable like the tags inside the loop. Is there any way to add that functionality?

   I'm no php expert so any help to nudge me along would be most welcome.

   If you visit my blog, http://wargamingforums.com, you'll see I have a tag cloud (with clickable links) in my sidebar and i did this via a widget.
