This may be a really dumb question but I can't seem to figure it out. I am trying to make it so that my homepage only shows part of the post and not the whole post. I would like it to say something in the order of "more" or even "..." would be fine. Can somebody tell me how to do this, I would be so very greatful. thank You.

You use the 'more' tag to split posts. See this article for some tips.
