   Does anyone know if there is a way to display the current last 3 to 5 posts by author on the single.php page? i moved my wordpress blog to a different folder on my site and updated wordpress twice and now any plugin that i use to display the latest author's post does not work.

   i know how to show a specific author's posts but i need to display author last 3 posts for a single.php page which means the author will always be different. is there a way to do this without a plugin? this is frustrating the heck out of me!

   while we are at it, why wont my plugins work just cause i moved the blog? or is it because of the latest wordpress updates? i am pulling out my air over here!!

   Get the http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-and-replace/ plugin on your old url/path and replace with your new url/path.

   Then update your permalinks.

   Please report the plugin you are using to display your authors.

   Note that that plugin does work for me on a 2.8.6 blog. It displays the posts under the current post when viewing a single post page.

   i did what you said with the search and replace plugin and that DD Posts By Author plugin still wont work on my pages. it stopped working after i changed my blog to a different folder, then a week later i switched to another folder (got hacked). now no matter what author plugin i use, it wont work. i changed my permalinks and it still wont show up for me. is it a database problem?

   Well assuming your site is http://senaxis.com/NPNG/Content/ your author archives seem to work okay as do your category archives.

   You've made sure your WordPress and Blog address URLs (Admin->Settings->General) are the same?

   Maybe another plugin conflicting with that plugin?

   yes that is where the blog is. when i directly call a author's archives it is fine. that DD plugin used to be fine before i changed directories twice. it is baffling to me. the urls are the same.

   i guess i will go in a delete any unneeded plugins and check to see if a plugin i added after the move is conflicting with that plugin. this is stumping the heck out of me.
