Displaying category posts on a page

I’m wondering how its possible to load posts on a wordpress page. I’ve managed to edit the loop so that the posts from my podcast category will not load up on the main page. When someone visits the podcast page, I would like for them to display in the same manner as they would on the main page. I had read on the forums earlier that you could just use a link to the specific category, and in my case this is http://www.atriskstoriesofhope.com/wordpress/?cat=3. I tried that earlier, but when I went to the above link, I realize that this is not what I want. Can I edit the page.php file to load up posts from a specific category? and how would I go about this. I’m pretty sure I can learn, I just need to find out what the code is that is used to display the posts.
