Displaying a category archive outside of its category page? (4 posts)

    I have a static page at http://www.clubtng.com/fresh/mp3s/ on which I would like to display an archive listing like at http://www.clubtng.com/fresh/category/mp3s/

    The fact that the static page is outside of my permalink structure seems to be causing problems, could anyone help me fix this using query_posts? I'd rather not use c2c_get_recent_posts as this won't allow for more than one page to be generated.

    Ok I kind of got it sorted thanks to http://wordpress.org/support/topic/32792
    <?php $my_query = new WP_Query('category_name=MP3s&showposts=10'); ?>
    <?php while ($my_query->have_posts()) : $my_query->the_post(); ?>
    <h2 id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
    <a>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>">
    <?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>
    <small><?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?> <!-- by <?php the_author() ?> --></small>
    <?php endwhile; ?>

    Still doesn't look the same as a normal archives page though :-(
