I'm using the default wordpress gallery system to do client proof photo galleries. Here's an example:

password: beach
It works great, but I can't figure out how to get the titles (filenames) to appear underneath the thumbnail.
Can someone help me out with the code or template file?

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm banging my head against the wall with the same question and not wanting to use nextgen for this simple gallery need. I just want captions or titles to show! Thanks if you figured it out. My posts have gone unanswered as well.

Try a plugin combination of tag-gallery, media-tags & cleaner gallery. I know that captions work...
