   I am trying to get a page's ID number based on the slug....

   Can anyone offer an easy way to do this?

   Let me clarify, I when I am on page url.com/abc/ I have a custom field that says, "def"... which also happens to be a page. When on page "abc" I want to see the page ID of "def", ie: 219.
