If I have a blog set up at http://www.site.com/blog and I want a list of 5 randomly selected links from my blogroll displayed on my homepage (www.site.com/index.html), how would I go about doing that?

That's a wordpress widget, which I understand won't work on the index.html page (wordpress is installed in the http://www.site.com/blog/ directory. Any ideas?
