   Hi,

   Is there a way to display the month name (i.e. January, February, March, etc.) or the abbreviated month name (i.e. Jan, Feb, Aug, etc.) instead of just the month number?

   Sometimes, when people see a string of numbers in the URL, it's hard to quickly make out the exact date. Thank you all.

   Bump.

   I know there's some hacks for this but I'm wondering whether there's an elegant solution, built into WordPress.

   They have option to do this or plugin instead...

   I've been asking about this for years - and with no luck.

   Seems a fairly basic requirement, and one which is available within Movable Type and other systems, and which'll improve usuability for international users.
