Can someone tell me how I can display the post_modified date if it is newer than the post_date?

In the Loop:
```
if (get_post_time() < get_post_modified_time()) {
the_modified_date('whatever'); // display the modified date
} else {
the_date('whatever'); // display the normal date
}
```
