This is a great idea. I have two problems:

First, when I click on an item, I get sent to a 404 page. I'm not sure why this is happening. If I go, say, to http://lettersblogatory.com/court/california-state-courts/ directly, I see the proper output, but if I click on the California state courts item in the widget, I get sent to http://lettersblogatory.com/?court=http%3A%2F%2Flettersblogatory.com%2Fcourt%2Fcalifornia-state-courts%2F. Is this just an issue about how I created my taxonomy in the first place?

Second, when I use the drop-down option, the formatting of the widget is off: the white bar in which the items are displayed extends beyond the width of the widget. I'm probably not explaining this well, but take a look at the widget on my blog homepage .

I think this should be fixed in a later version, but in any case, can you suggest a quick fix that I can make to the .php file myself?

That url should redirect, maybe try flushing permalinks (press save changes on the permalinks settings page)?

I'm considering trying something different though, since those urls as parameters are pretty bad. It's only like that when displaying as a dropdown.
