   Instead of a list of posts with intro text and read more like a regular blog, is there a way that I can display all the featured images from posts of a certain category in a grid/matrix (rows and columns) format? In essence, I want to create a category of video posts (so people can comment on each video), but want to link to those posts via the thumbnails. So it becomes a video gallery. Can this be done? I found these resources, but I'm not a coder; just trying to find the pertinent info for my developer to make this happen:

   I'm looking to do this same thing. Any chance that I can just use the get_post_thumnail() function?

   no problem - the grid part is down to css formatting (and the html structure of the posts as it is output by the loop).
