Disappearing content. (6 posts)

    Hello all,

very strange, when I add a new post I usually write it on Google Docs, with the title in the post. Then when I copy and paste to the WordPress screen I then remove the title in the body, as the title is bold above.

however, when I now remove this first line, the whole content disappears, despite it all still remaining in the posting screen.

I then tried to write directly into the new post area, and removed the very first paragraph as a test and it still removes all content on preview.

    example: http://www.articleoutlook.com/what-is-a-benchmark-lending-rate/

you will notice the title is duplicated before the post itself, yet when I remove this single line ALL the content disappears.

I have done a db repair but still a great mystery...any ideas?

    Many thanks,
    John

    Hi there,

thanks for the reply, but I had tried that. I usually use html mode anyway.

I also tried a brand new test post, adding a separate line, deleted that ONE line and then the whole content went again.

    Very odd. :-)

This has been happening to me for days. I look at all the forums on this issue and apparently it has been going on for years, yet I can't find someone who has satisfactorily fixed it!

Is there someone who can give me a simple answer. It has happened to me using twenty eleven and twenty ten themes. Certainly strange and very annoying! When I 'view page' the content is there. but not on the Visual or HTML screens. Even if I re paste the HTML code it immediately disappears!

For some reason all of this fixed itself so I cant give any answers and mine was with twenty ten also. I don't know whether it was a Google docs issue in the copy and paste, but it doesn't happen any more. I don't know whether it was a conflicting plugin either. Funnily enough I have a different cache plugin now (quick cache) with no problems at all.

John, I have installed the plugin 'quick cache' and so far the problem (not the content!) has disappeared. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks
