Disabling Comments - Allowing Trackbacks (2 posts)

Hi. . . I would like to set up my blog so that comments are disabled. Want to allow trackbacks.

Please advise as to how I go about disabling comments from all posts.

Also, is there anything I need to do to allow trackbacks, or is this something already set up within wordpress?

Also, is it possible to have it so that when someone clicks on the word 'comments' at each post a message will appear that says 'comments are closed. you can trackback from your site'. . . or something like that. (?)

    Thank you,
    Charlsie

I believe leaving the box checked for posts allowing pingbacks and trackbacks under comments should do what you are wanting, just disable the comments.

http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/index.php is a great way to test this feature.
