I didn’t experience anything like this. Could you tell me more info? This plugin doesn’t have intention to disable image editing or any alter of read more function. If something like this happens I would like to fix it.
i have same problem using latest WP, i dont want to give admin access though for security
when clicking image to edit it on page or post ( say if you want to repositon left right or center or even delete the image ) the image will turn blue as it should but the two icons ( delete and edit ) dont appear
i like this plugin but if the conflict is not resolved then i i gotta search for another one,

Unfortunately, it just disabled all my editing altogether. There was no field to edit the image or post.
I’m going to try in a different browser and let you know 🙂
