Disable MSQL calls (2 posts)

The MSQL servers on my host were down for a couple of hours. I read elsewhere that maybe disabling the MSQL calls the page could be loaded and read without much difficulty.

Is that an option? How do I implement that with WP 1.5?

I think you mean MySQL. mSQL is actually a different database product.

You could set up a document to load which doesn't rely on accessing the database, but it wouldn't be more than an "everything's down" page. All of the content for your blog resides in the database.
